Tails of Great Magnitude

The reptilian tail has many uses. Defense, balance, distracting predators, attracting mates, etc etc. The following are generally not among the typical uses:
Umbrella
Sunshade
Boat Anchor

Most anoles when facing down don't let their tail droop down past their sides, let alone an inch past their own face.
